Ida is a Consultant in the Data Innovation team at Oxford Policy Management, specialising in quantitative impact evaluations, remote sensing, and geo-spatial data science. Her research uses geo-spatial data to study the relationship between climatic shocks and household poverty in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs). She also works on Small Area Estimation, focusing on poverty mapping in Mozambique. Ida has experience with both experimental and non-experimental quantitative impact evaluation research designs, across a range of sectors, including evaluating a community-based poultry vaccination programme in Tanzania and a national social protection programme in Rwanda. Currently, Ida is pursuing a PhD in Social Statistics and Demography at the University of Southampton, researching the impact of flooding on household poverty in Mozambique and Pakistan – as well as the effectiveness of cash transfers in mitigating the effects of flood events on households.
