Peter is a professor in development economics at Vrije University in Amsterdam, and spent more than two decades in the Development Economics Research Group of the World Bank. Peter’s research interests include structural transformation in developing economies, measuring and analysing poverty and inequality, and using longitudinal village studies to measure rural development.
